The Quiet Transformation is a collection of 2 original abstract mixed media paintings on canvas.
This collection is a way of showcasing my mixed media painting style in a more subtle context. In creating these pieces, I departed from my usual style. These paintings stand as a metaphor for my own evolution, where the tumultuous layers beneath the surface are covered by a tranquil facade, illustrating a move through life's chaos towards tranquility. They encapsulate a significant lesson: sometimes, it is through a series of attempts, failures, and reflections that we find our way. This transformation, captured in the stark contrast of black and white, marks a pivotal moment in my artistic journey, showcasing the beauty of simplicity and the profound impact of embracing new perspectives on old ideas.

These pieces were created using various papers, dried roses, vintage lace and fabric and acrylic paint in a color palette of mars black, titanium white, and titan buff.
Each painting has many layers of failed paintings beneath, with some subtle colors coming through in certain areas, with parts of the white section being more cream in certain light.
The quiet transformation collection showcases the of mixing papers and paint that is the cornerstone of Ashley's unique painting style.
