SIZE

Decided what size canvas, or multiple canvas, you want the painting to be. Contemplate possible spaces its going to live when complete. I am currently taking commissions of any size!

INSPIRATION

What is your intention for the piece? What is the vibe and aesthetic you are hoping to achieve. Is there a story to tell or reason for wanting the piece? All of these details help shape the concept of the work. Including inspiration images, a Pinterest board or similar with colors, textures, ideas you are drawn to.

Which previous pieces of mine do you feel drawn to and why? Are there ones you dislike? Why?

COLORS

What color scheme and palette your initially thinking of ? Ideally having 2-3 main colors and 2-3 neutral colors helps narrow down the color story.

MATERIALS

Mixed media materials are a large focus in my painting style. Are there certain materials you are more drawn to? Certain materials you want me to avoid? The most common materials I use along with acrylic paint are vintage materials such as lace, books, fabrics, buttons, beads. I also use various tissue papers, found papers, scrapbook papers, dried flowers, pressed flowers, string. Basically anything that can be mostly 2-d and attached to a canvas!

Are there sentimental materials you hope to use in the piece? Previous commissions used love notes, drawings on paper, restaurant napkins, and sourced typewriter letters from the city the painting was inspired by. I love incorporating personal items that make the piece feel unique to you!

PRICING

My commission pieces run about 20% higher than my collection release pieces and are based on size and material requests. I request a 50 % non-refundable deposit to begin with the remaining balance, plus shipping, due once your painting is complete.

COMMISSION INQUIRY FORM

Look over the questions listed above and answer as many as you can in the initial contact form. I will be in contact to discuss if this is a project that aligns with me and what the next steps are!
