Educated at the University of Minnesota with a degree in Retail Merchandising accompanied by minors in both studio art and business management, Ashley crafts textured paintings that are layered with acrylic paint and found materials such as lace, vintage magazines, dried flowers or bits of textured paper.

Her focused use of high contrast, layered textures and bold brushstrokes bring a dynamic quality to her unique style of artwork. Hiding words, quotes and musings among the brushstrokes, viewers find themselves exploring the composition wondering where the materials came from and what they represent now.
