This portfolio of works captures paintings from the first 4 collections I created as Ashley Ann Art. The first titled “Authenticity” is an evolution of my Advanced Painting collection in college, this time centered around a cohesive color palette of neutrals. “Curious Minis” came next as an extension of the same neutral color palette but in smaller sizes. Third is “Sunflowers Vol. 1” based off my exploration of textured mixed media flowers painted on canvas that I’ve been creating since high school. Lastly, “As Above, So Below,” was created to calm the chaos of the mind by painting over old works and brining new life to them through the most simplified compositions I’ve ever done. These first 4 collections are centered around me exploring my style as a true working artist and creating paintings to be presented for sale. I am proud of this body of work as it represents the beginnings of becoming a self represented artist and launching ashleyannart.co.
