2012-2014

This portfolio of paintings captures work from my college courses at the University of Minnesota. I minored in studio art with the main curriculum growing from beginning painting to advanced painting. The courses evolved from assignment based paintings to creating an entire collection. This was when I first discovered my love for large scale canvas and abstract painting. Below is the first abstract painting I ever created, along with the first abstract mixed media painting! My Advanced painting final collection was based around the discovery of blending abstract painting with mixed media materials and exploring that style in depth. I am so proud of this body of work as it represents my continuation of creating with mixed media materials and discovering my love for abstract work.
